  • we never sell your information.
  • we only share it with the services that help us run LYORA (like our course platform, payment providers and delivery partners), or when the law requires it.
  • you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and you can ask to see, correct or delete your information.

1. who we are

LYORA is a nail education business based in Perth, Western Australia, run by Lotus Nova Pty Ltd (ABN 67 691 236 263). In this policy, "LYORA", "we", "us" and "our" mean Lotus Nova Pty Ltd trading as LYORA.

This policy covers our website www.lyora.com.au, our online courses and community, our in-person training in Perth, our nail kits, and the ways you contact us, including email, Instagram (@lyora.nails), Facebook and our ads.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. the information we collect

Depending on how you connect with us, we may collect:

  • contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and Instagram username
  • delivery details such as your postal address, so we can send your kit
  • enrolment details such as your suburb or postcode, your nail experience, your goals, preferred training dates and the program you're interested in
  • agreement and payment records such as your package, payment plan, amounts paid and owing, receipts and signed enrolment forms
  • learning records such as course progress, quiz results, certificates and the questions you send us
  • messages you send us by email, Instagram DM, Facebook or our community
  • website and advertising data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and how you found us (see section 7)

We don't ask for sensitive information (like health information) unless it's genuinely needed for your safety during in-person training, and we only collect it with your consent.

3. how we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • fill in a Facebook or Instagram lead form (Meta passes us the answers you submit)
  • apply or enquire about Perth in-person nail training or mentorship
  • buy an online course, a nail kit or a call through our website or booking page
  • sign an enrolment form or payment agreement
  • join our community, claim a free guide or subscribe to our emails
  • email us or send us a message on Instagram or Facebook
  • browse our website (through cookies and similar tools, see section 7)

If someone else gives us your details (for example, a parent arranging training), we'll handle them in the same way.

4. how we use your information

We use your information to:

  • reply to your enquiries and messages
  • check whether a program suits you and arrange your training dates
  • give you access to your course, community and resources
  • pack and deliver your kit
  • manage payments, payment plans, receipts and your enrolment agreement
  • support you while you learn, including check-in calls and feedback
  • issue certificates
  • send you updates and offers you've agreed to receive (see section 5)
  • improve our courses, website and ads
  • keep our business records and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We only use your information for these purposes, or for something closely related that you'd reasonably expect, unless you agree otherwise or the law allows it.

5. emails and marketing

If you sign up, buy from us or tick a consent box, we may send you emails about new lessons, live calls, offers and nail education. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also just reply and ask us to stop.

Even if you unsubscribe, we'll still send messages you need, like receipts, course access details and updates about your enrolment or payments.

6. who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with trusted services that help us run LYORA, and only as much as they need, such as:

  • our website, course and email platform (Kajabi)
  • payment providers (such as Stripe through Kajabi, and Square)
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for ads, lead forms and messaging, and the messaging tools we use with Instagram
  • Google, for email, video calls and website analytics
  • video call tools for check-in calls and mentorship
  • Australia Post and courier services, to deliver your kit
  • our accountant and accounting software

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

overseas services

Some of these services store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers, but by using our services you understand your information may be stored or processed overseas.

7. cookies, analytics and ads

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Google tags, to understand how people use the site, measure which ads are working and show our ads to people who may be interested.

These tools collect things like the pages you visit, your device and browser, and roughly where you are. They don't tell us your name unless you give it to us.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage how ads are shown to you in your Facebook ad preferences and Google ad settings. Some parts of the site, like logging in to your course, need cookies to work.

8. photos, recordings and your work

We love celebrating our students, but we'll only share photos of you, your nail work or your messages (for example, as a testimonial or on Instagram) with your permission. You can ask us to take them down at any time.

If we record a call or live session, we'll tell you first, and we'll only record with your consent.

9. payments

Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.

If you pay by bank transfer, we see the name, amount and reference on the transfer so we can match it to your account and send your receipt.

For your safety, please never send card numbers or passwords to us by email or DM.

10. keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using secure, password-protected platforms and limiting who can access it.

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Payment and business records are kept for at least five years to meet Australian tax requirements. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.

11. seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.

Sometimes we may need to keep certain records (for example, payment records we're required to keep by law), and if so, we'll explain why.

12. under 18?

Our training, kits and payment plans are designed for adults aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.

13. questions or complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we've handled your information, please email [email protected] first. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

14. changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
